Have you been feeling like the world is chaotic and full of injustices? This month our open mic theme night is an invitation to channel that anxiety into art. Protest music has a rich and varied history from the union songs of miners and factory workers, to 60’s civil rights anthems, all the way to the present day. Find (or write!) songs that speak to you about issues you care about. Be creative - a protest song isnt always serious! They can be funny, angry, sad, or hopeful.
One performance slot per group/artist (eg: performances with different band names/same performers will not be given stage time. Max 10 minutes per turn - two songs, or one song and a story, or 5 minutes of tuning and one song. Please be ready.
