Each month Bluegrass Wednesdays begins with a 2 hour concert followed by a jam session. Concert goers are encouraged to bring your instruments and /or voices and join in for a post concert jam.
Crooked Creek formed in Montreal, QC in 2019 when trio Daphnee Vandal, Tim Loten, and Jono Townsend started digging into their acoustic roots and performing around town as a classic bluegrass and Old Time band. Although based in Montreal, banjo player Tim Loten and guitar player Jono Townsend grew up in eastern Ontario near Perth, and take influence from their childhood homes to write songs and instrumental tunes. In 2021 The band recorded a self titled EP with four original songs, and in 2022 performed on the main stage at Celt Fest in Almonte, ON.
Looking to get back on their feet after the pandemic, the band is excited to record a full length album in the winter of 2023, and to continue performing at festivals and venues across Ontario and Quebec.
FOLLOWING THE CONCERT will be a jam, off the stage, open to anyone who wants to pick and sing some bluegrass songs. So, bring your instrument, or your voices if you want to take part in the post concert jam. Let's make it a great one!
