Join us for an evening of Celtic Music played by some of the best in the region. There will be a concert from 8pm to 10pm, with a jam to follow, so bring your instruments and get in on the fun. This month's Celtic Celebration features John Dahms, Spencer Murray, Paul Hawtin, and Ian Clark.
John Dahms, Spencer Murray, Paul Hawtin, and Ian Clark each have a long resumé of playing traditional music from Ireland (and Scotland (Spencer, Ian)). John Dahms is one of the best fiddle players in Ottawa, particularly in Irish styles. Paul Hawtin is a great fiddle player as well as being a master of DADGAD guitar, both on accompaniment and melody playing. Spencer Murray is a recent arrival in Ottawa and is a triple threat on Irish pipes, Scottish small pipes and flute. Of note is that he played in the Come From Away show in Toronto and beyond, and still tours with the show. Ian Clark has decades of experience in guitar accompaniment of celtic music in regular tuning, including many years complementing Paul’s DADGAD playing in Ottawa’s Irish music scene.
Together, John, Spencer, Paul, and Ian make a big sound. This will be a great night of high caliber traditional music. Don’t miss it!
