Atlantic Voices hits all the high notes with its spring concert, The Hills and Glens—a musical journey from the Highlands to the Cabot Trail to the Halifax Citadel and beyond. Our show's repertoire showcases the rich trove of folk songs inspired by mountains and hills and features music by some of Canada's top choral composers, including Mark Sirett and Stephen Hatfield. The program pays special tribute to the traditional music of Scotland, including a rare pairing of choir and bagpipe!
The show starts at 3 p.m. on May 31st at Centretown United Church, 507 Bank St. Ottawa. Doors open at 2:15 p.m. for a pre-show by the Fumblin' Fingers band.
Tickets are $30 until May 30 and are available from choir members or through EventBrite (tickets.atlanticvoices.ca). Tickets are $35 on the day of the event, including at the door, and are free for children 12 and under.
