Doors at 5PM, Show at 6PM
Show Description
Everly Lux is a Montreal-based experimental folk project inspired by Aldous Harding, Joanna Newsom and Dirty Projectors. Classical guitar, cello and synthesizers weave together a unique sound that carefully ventures on dissonant paths, while remaining anchored in mystical songs. Having just released the first single of their debut LP "Talk Tales", Everly Lux will be visiting Ottawa for the first time on Nov 16 at Art House!
Bios
Everly Lux is an experimental folk/pop project inspired by Aldous Harding, Joanna Newsom and Dirty Projectors. The songs weave together a careful mixture of folk songwriting and experimental instrumentation, with extended techniques on cello and soundscapes of modular synths. Described as eerie, dimensional and pure, the beauty of the sound of Everly Lux resides in intricate lyrics, subtle dissonance and stripped down sentimentality.
