Come ready to sing along as she shares a mix of original songs, beloved covers, and guides the group through easy-to-learn pieces and interactive Circle Songs—spontaneous, improvised, and layered with rich harmonies. Audience participation is not just welcome, it’s part of the magic.
Chris will also be sharing some of her recent poetry, and we warmly invite fellow poets to come and read their own work in this open, creative space. A performing singer–songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Chris brings over 30 years of experience composing and performing Contemporary Folk/Roots, World music, and Vocal Improvisation. Her work has taken her across the globe, and she has released three recordings of original music, in addition to collaborations with groups such as the Indo-Canadian fusion ensemble Galitcha and the acoustic trio Frida’s Brow. She currently performs solo, with the Contemporary Roots trio Bray & MacLean, and as part of the acoustic trio The Paugan Dames based in Wakefield, QC.
