Rooted along the banks of the Kitchissippi (Gatineau, QC), Mia Kelly is an award-winning singer-songwriter, making her mark internationally with her distinctive blend of folk, rock, and blues. Carrying the power of the river she calls home, her voice winds and weaves stories, raw and breaking with emotion in English and French.
Her newest record, Big Time Roller Coaster Feeling - produced by Connor Seidel (Charlotte Cardin, Half Moon Run, Donovan Woods), celebrates juicy, joyful moments of life and shines light into the darker corners. These new songs feel wild and expansive, like running through a sunny field with your arms open wide.
Her debut album Garden Through The War (2022) and sophomore album To Be Clear (2024) launched her career on the world stage leading to extensive touring throughout Canada, Australia and the U.K, performing at major festivals and opening doors for her to support artists such as Bobby Bazini, The Franklin Electric, Good Lovelies, and Kim Churchill.

Basset, are bringing their deeply human lyrics and close harmonies to the NAC on December 4th, touring their Sophomore album, Human Nature.
Toronto-based folk duo, Basset, are full of timeless heart, with deeply human lyrics and harmonies reminiscent of the early folk revival. CBC Q’s Tom Power says, “if you’re a lover of great close harmonies, like Simon and Garfunkel, or Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, I think you’re going to love this”.
Their sweeping debut album In the Clay was nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award for vocal group of the year, and received radio play and reviews on CBC, NPR, No Depression, and Americana UK.
Basset tours regularly across Canada, the UK, and Europe with a live show that is both sincere and disarmingly funny. They have performed at the Mariposa Folk Festival, Winnipeg Folk Festival, and Celtic Connections. In 2026, they will be touring Australia, Europe, and across Canada, promoting their sophomore album Human Nature set to release in Fall 2026.
