Less Toches is the musical collision of five explosive musicians, an unexpected and refreshing big bang of cumbia on the island of Montreal. The eternal magic of the peasant troubadours of the South acquires here a poetic, passionate and amusing air: Less Toches takes its name from a Latin American bird, and a Colombian expression meaning “clumsy”. Humour and trance translate into a fresh and deep interpretation of the peasant and riverside spirit of cumbia and accordion music. Their Colombian, Mexican, Cuban and Argentinian origins combine to revive the rhythms that marked their childhood through the folk tradition: Continental cumbia from Montreal!
