BLACK IRI$H
Born in France and raised in Ottawa since the age of five, Black Iri$h is an emerging voice in the Canadian hip-hop scene with his eyes set on global horizons. Inspired by the lifestyles of the rich and famous, he used that early fascination as motivation to carve out his own path in music. Refusing to be boxed in as “just a rapper,” Black Iri$h describes himself as versatile — he raps, sings, is learning piano, and produces his own beats and instrumentals. Deeply rooted in Ottawa, he carries strong local pride. Though he acknowledges the city’s hip-hop scene is still “raw” compared to larger markets, he’s confident that “we up next.” His sound is crafted to get people hyped, uplifted, and feeling good about themselves. His breakout single “24 Bands” captures his hustle mentality — a celebration of success and luxury without losing authenticity, reminding listeners that hard work and determination can open doors.
Important Notes:
Every Instrument will be provided by the house.
Access to stage is a first-come, first-serve process.
The amount of instruments and microphones present on the stage will determine how many can stay on the stage at one time.
We will have the “RED BIRD PICK” of the night. This pick will be chosen by staff at Red Bird and will encourage one participant of the night to close the show with another performance.
There will be opportunities to network and possibly be featured in future events as a featured emcee or instrumentalist.
