Ottawa pianist Peter Hum has a mainstay of the jazz scene in Canada’s capital for more than three decades. He has recorded three albums as a leader, featuring some of Canada’s leading jazz musicians, and his 2020 album Ordinary Heroes received a four-star review in DownBeat magazine. He has performed at jazz and concert venues from Charlottetown to Vancouver and his projects have been supported by the City of Ottawa’s creation and production fund, the Ontario Arts Council, and the Canada Council.

Joining Peter at Montgomery Scotch Lounge for two sets of dynamic but lyrical original new music and jazz standards will be Steve Boudreau on bass and Deniz Lim-Sersan on drums. Fun fact: Steve and Deniz are also accomplished jazz pianists, but they also shine on their second instruments.
