Launched in 1946, the Navan Fair is one of Ottawa's longest‑running rural celebrations, featuring agricultural exhibits, animals, tractor displays, a demolition derby, live music, food, and more. Each August, thousands gather to experience this classic country fair atmosphere — and the Domes have become a major draw for nighttime entertainment.
On Friday, August 7th, the Fair welcomes Signal Hill, a four‑man acoustic rock band originally from St. John's, NL and now based in Halifax, NS. A staple of the East Coast music scene since 1991, Signal Hill is known for their huge four‑part harmonies and energetic blend of Newfoundland, Irish, Cape Breton, pop, and rock favourites. They've toured across Canada and internationally, and remain a weekly fixture at Halifax's iconic Lower Deck Pub. The night opens with The Derringers with DW James, who take the stage at 9:00 pm, delivering a high‑energy mix of new and classic country, southern rock, classic rock, and Top 40.
Admission Details: Dome entertainment requires a separate ticket from fairgrounds admission. Single‑day or 4‑day fair passes must be purchased separately. General and VIP Dome passes are valid Friday and Saturday starting at 7:00 pm; VIP passes are limited to 100 per night. Must be age of majority to purchase.
