Speedbump Sally is a punk rock band based in Gatineau, Québec. Started in 2022, by 3 longtime friends and veterans of the Ottawa/Gatineau punk, ska and rock scene. In the beginning, to get the ball rolling, the band used an "every single idea can be turned into something great" attitude towards songwriting. From choosing random chords by blindly pointing to a letter on a whiteboard, to rolling a dice to decide in what key the song will be, a setlist was built in no time. Everyone in the band was a frontman in other bands at some point in the past so it was just natural that Speedbump Sally would be led by all 3 members with no defining lead singer. This helped establish a signature sound from day one. They all share a love of The Simpsons, so it is safe to say that if you want to charm them, just find your best quotes and they'll instantly engage. The band started recording their songs in early 2023 and will be releasing a few singles in the spring/summer of 2023 and will follow up with a full EP in early 2024. Look for the first single "Bulletproof" on all streaming platforms.
