Before Summer Finds Us: Pat Rees, Elizabeth Royall, and Heather is Growing at LIVE! on Elgin
Pat Rees: Pat Rees, a singer-songwriter from Peterborough, Ontario, crafts indie folk and country-leaning songs rooted in lived experience. His writing is intimate and understated, shaped by reflection, change, and the spaces between certainty and doubt. With an ear for melody and a talent for storytelling, Pat writes with the listener in mind, not the spotlight. His music invites listeners to feel, reflect, and grow alongside him. He returns to the release radar with intimate single “The Fool” released March 10th, 2026.
Elizabeth Royall: Elizabeth Royall is an Ottawa-based folk and soft rock singer-songwriter with a sound reminiscent of the '70s and '90s. Her songs balance vulnerability with strength through intimate vocals and storytelling, and guitar-driven arrangements. A SOCAN Young Canadian Songwriter Award winner, she has performed at Ottawa Bluesfest and was a participant in the 2025 cohort of SOCAN’s TD Incubator for Creative Entrepreneurship. She is currently preparing for the late-spring release of her debut EP recorded live in the studio.
Heather is Growing: Heather is Growing is the music of Ottawa based creative Ruth H Chan. As a singer-songwriter, she blends self-reflection and music with unflinching honesty, inviting audiences into deeper ways of living. She’s performed in multiple cities and toured in BC as well as Ontario. Her self-titled debut EP, Heather is Growing, debuted in Spring 2023.
