Friday, April 18th, for the first time in Ottawa, we are bringing Backwoodz Studioz recording artist PremRock!!

PremRock has an illustrious back catalog of solo and collaborative releases, including his group ShrapKnel with long-time friend and fellow Wrecking Crew member Curly Castro. Over the years he has worked with the some of the finest in underground hip hop: billy woods, Elucid, Quelle Chris, Willie Green, Zilla Rocca and so many more!

Prem is celebrating the release of his new album, “Did You Enjoy Your Time Here…?” Possibly his best work to date. Featuring production by Sebb Bash, Blockhead, YOUNGMORPHEUS, Child Actor, Controller 7, ELUCID, Small Professor, Jeff Markey, & Fines Double and guest appearances by some of the world’s best, Pink Siifu, billy woods, Cavalier, Nappy Nina, Illogic, AJ Suede, Mary Esther Carter and of course Castro. We are also pleased to bring you Prem’s long time touring partner, Toronto’s own, Fresh Kils! Not only is Kils an amazing Juno nominated producer who has done beats for artists like Armand Hammer and some of Canadian underground hip hop’s finest, he is an absolute wizard on the MPC and The Sound Battle Royale Champion! I’m telling you, you won’t believe what this guy can do on a sampler, his live beat set is not to be missed!

Local support from SoGnar’s own Hidden Crates which is comprised of vektrx & Paarleh, two MC/producers that are prominent members of the local underground hip hop scene, as well as up and coming producer Red Ben with some live beats! This dude is going to make some noise, his beats are exceptional and you will hear more from him very soon, mark my words. We also added Coolman Logan to the bill, a staple of Montreal’s indie hip hop scene, always rocking the mic with intensity and a slew of witty bars!
